Barb started working for Heartland Financial Services in 2007. She has been a licensed insurance agent since 2001. Her and her husband, Bryan, live in Tulare. They have two children – Pyne and Aimee. Barb is involved in the Tulare Economic Development Corporation, is a Sunday School Teacher and member of the Tulare United Church, and is part owner of the Patriot Market. Her hobbies include exercising and riding and showing horses.

Doug started working for Heartland Financial Services in 2022. He is a licensed Insurance Agent for Crop/Hail/Livestock (LRP) and Rainfall (PRF). Working in and around our small community and all it has to offer is something I truly enjoy. I have been very active in the Redfield community, doing fundraising events for local causes and probably my favorite pastime, coaching wrestling at the youth and high school levels. We are fortunate to live in a great community that has just about everything you could ask for.

Heartland Financial Services would like to welcome Tammy Skinner. Tammy joined HFS the beginning of September as a Customer Service Rep. in our Wessington location. She has lived in Wessington for 18 years. Tammy is married to Keith, and they have a daughter, Allyana who attends middle school in Miller. Prior to working for HFS, Tammy operated a Hog site with her husband for many years. Tammy is very involved with her church, where she also helps take care of all the video/audio needs. In her free time, Tammy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking and baking, being outdoors, camping and hunting.

Sam grew up in Spearfish, SD. After graduating high school, he attended South Dakota State University for Aviation Education. After receiving his degree and working for the university as a flight instructor for 2 years he decided that he wanted to pursue a career in a small town in South Dakota where he could be involved in the community and help others. He chose to be an agent with Heartland Financial Service Inc because as an independent agency he likes the fact that he is able to offer multiple options to find the coverage that is right for the client.  He is newly engaged to his fiancé Katie who is a respiratory therapist for Avera. He is passionate about the outdoors, hunting, and fishing, which in turn has always drawn him to the Missouri River and his grandma’s farm in the Highmore area. He also loves to train hunting dogs, especially his current pudelpointer puppy, Ripley, who is preparing for NAVHDA testing.
